The Institute of Finance - Basil Fuleihan Institute for Economy and Finance has participated, within theLebYouth project, to the organization and offer ofone totwo months internships at the ministry of Finance.
These internships offer a real work experience in one of the ministry of Finance departments or operations (customs, research, VAT, legal division, etc.). The program startswith a three-day intensive introductory training session and regular coaching and monitoring are ensured to internsfor the whole internship's duration.

The required qualificationsare the following:
- Master’s degree or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Senior students accepted.
- Fields of study: Economics, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology (IT), Law, Management, Political & Social Science, Communication, Journalism and Public Administration.
- Excellent written command of Arabic and other languages is a plus.
- Interest in public service.
- Computer literacy is required.

In 2007,35 university students participated to this internship program.

The ministry of Finance (MoF), interested in youthand currently recruiting, is seeking fresh graduates, interested in taking part in the reform initiatives for building a modern public administration.

To better reach competent candidates, MoF, in collaboration with Basil Fuleihan Institute for Economy and Finance has issued a recruitment guide: “Join the ministry of Finance team”. The guide addresses the key role played by MoF in the national economy, the ministry’s missions and internal organisation as well as the recruitment system, the criteria for admission, and the potential career path for recruits;

He has also participated in various exhibitions and fairs among which the AUB job fair during which this guide was distributed.

The guidewas also distributed in major Lebanese universities and institutes. It is also available at the Library of Finance, the Basil Fuleihan Institute for Economy and Finance.
